This unique fall NFTY-NEL event will bring together all of those in their Junior Youth Groups (Grades 7-8) and those in their Temple Youth Groups (Grades 9-12) for the flagship NFTY-NEL event of the year. Using the traditional ‘Mitzvah Corps’ style event. All members of our region will explore what it means to be a Reform Jew and a socially aware member of our community. We learn together, have fun together and most importantly, bond every single person within our region. There will be opening plenaries and then split into different tracks around what people are interested in. Also, we will infuse social action opportunities and a chance for those who are new to our Region to learn about what we stand for, our customs and traditions.

This event is open to any Jewish teen in grades 7 to 12.

  • Meals included in the cost of the event.
  • Teens are expected to participate in the entire event. Fees are set at a full package rate and unfortunately we cannot prorate registration.

We will have bus stops in Toronto, Thornhill, Mississauga, Burlington, Rochester, Buffalo, Cleveland and additional travel from Ottawa. There is a $75 fee for participants traveling via bus.

Winter appropriate clothing -- layers, outdoor wear! A more detailed packing list will be included in pre-event email to be sent approximately 10 days prior to the event.

Registrants and parents will receive an email approximately 10 days before the event. This email will include finalized bus arrival and departure information and other important information regarding the event. Please note that bus departure may require minor adjustments due to weather considerations as well as any changes to the number of pick-up locations.

If you need to cancel, the registration fees you paid will be refunded as follows:

Through October 29, 2015 – 90% of the registration fees paidThrough November 5, 2015 – 75% of the registration fees paidThrough November 12, 2015 – 50% of the registration fees paidAfter November 12, 2015 we will not be able to issue any refunds for cancellation. If you have a documented medical emergency and must cancel after November 12, 2015 you will be refunded 75% of the registration fees you paid.

All cancellation must be in writing. We will accept cancellations by email to We’re sorry, but we cannot accept cancellations over the phone. Please allow up to six weeks after the conclusion of the event for your refund to be processed.
